Why to use Legalporno to name any production is just stupid

Oct 09, 2023 Website:

All over the internet, for years, you can read about Legal Porno (or Analvids) as if it is a production or a paysite, this is simply nonsense.
Most people in the adult industry do not have the know-how to understand what they are talking about, and this brings to the sad truth: models do not have any idea about what they are doing and for who.
Let's start with a little history. Legalporno.com is a project born with the idea to provide a platform to any producer where they can profit from their content. The initial idea belongs to the owner of a company called Sineplex, he sensed the decline of the porn industry as it was in the 2000s. At that time, users generally accessed any adult paysite using a membership plan, this meant the user paid for instance $19.00/month and got access to all the content in the website.
The "membership access model" was failing to provide to the female performer enough cash to justify joining the adult industry and was failing to provide high quality content to the users. At the same moment, the way the membership paysites promoted their content using free tubes, had floated the tubes with tons of legit content. This brought to the paysite lot of traffic and sales, but over-exploited the female performer into the "free porn area". This decreased the quantity of work of each single model and pushed the scouting of new models to the limit of craziness: if you did not have new models in your website, you did not make enough sales to even justify the production of new content.
The challenge of Sineplex's owner was to sell 20-30 scenes with the same model to the same audience for $200,00, instead of $19,00. Everyone, me included, thought he was crazy.
We were wrong, the idea was doable, what was wrong was the method.
In 2012, Sineplex's owner teamed up with Xvideo's owner and a website called legalporno.com was deployed in 2013. The website included content shot almost the day before the release and content I shot in the previous 5 years, content I sold to Xvideo's owner plus various old content from Sineplex and other companies.
I was out of the production of new content until january 2015, when I was offered to publish new content on the platform as Studio.
So, in 2015, 3 studio were publishing content:
- Giorgio Grandi
- Gonzo
- Sineplex CZ
GG and Sineplex were independent entities and Gonzo was run directly from the ownership of the website.
So, since that time, even before, you did not have one production, but several productions using the same platform to release their content.
From 2015 to 2021, the developing of the website continued without stop acquiring more studios to the actual point where we have:
The member area:
Promotional Tours:
As the platform is open also to the content included into other websites, in the member area at www.pornbox.com, you can also find content from other websites such as:
I understand this is confusing, so I will explain.
Pornbox is a platform where almost any "content owner" can publish his content. This means a content can be available in the original website of the content owner, but also into pornbox.com.
I make you few example for you to better understand:
- Studio Giorgio Grandi
This is my main studio, I publish my content into pornbox exclusively as I choose to do so. I still keep a promotional tour of my content at www.giorgiograndi.com, but I basically only use the pornbox platform to monetize my content and giorgiograndi.com is a defined mirror of only my production
- Studio GGG by John Thompson
This studio propose his content for sale at www.pornbox.com, but the same content are also available into their own old website and www.ggg-film.de.
- Pineapple Studio
This studio proposes his content for sale at pornbox.com and the content is not available elsewhere, even for promotional reasons.
Many studios have been added to the platform in the last year and many will join in future, especially performers involved in content creation, I write about it in this other article here.
So, back to the matter of production, when a scene gets published to pornbox.com, the performer did not work for pornbox.com, but worked for the owner of one of the studio that, in different way, publish his content on pornbox.com
When I read a model "I worked for legalporno" or maybe "I do not want to work for legalporno", this means the model is technically taking a decision that doesn't have any sense at all, she doesnt know what she is talking about.
